'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League comeback

Kane marks his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his interest in coming back to the Premier League has faded and he is willing to explore a new agreement with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is currently midway through the four-year contract he signed when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the offseason of 2023.

The veteran forward has accumulated an remarkable 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German side, helping them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which marked the initial significant trophy of his distinguished career.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has recently expressed that he would like to see Kane go back to England, where he needs 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England skipper has now clarified that he is no longer as eager about coming back home as he previously was, and would seriously think about lengthening his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could absolutely see that," he remarked.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be prepared to talk and have an honest conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different chances and different timings happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the historic top marksman for both Tottenham and England and lately became the speediest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five divisions, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had avoided him until he won the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would feel after ending his trophy barren spell, but now feels it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.

"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
